Xingyue Su is a PhD researcher in Social Sciences at the Department of Social Sciences, University of Eastern Finland, Kuopio Campus. Her research explores the social, organizational and ethical implications of digital transformation in ageing and care, with a particular focus on AI-supported and digital assistive technologies in old-age care. She examines how these technologies are introduced into care settings and how they shape everyday care practices, professional roles, care workers’ occupational well-being, and the well-being of older adults. Her work contributes to socio-gerontechnology by foregrounding care workers and care organizations in discussions on responsible AI, with attention to usability, accountability, privacy and human judgement.
